The Rural Municipality of Lajord No. 128 is seeking a permanent full-time administrative assistant to join our team. This position reports to the Administrator, and provides support in all aspects of municipal administration including but not limited to: customer service, correspondence, filing, data entry, and receipting, as well as maintaining and assistance in bylaws, appointments, publications, among many other duties as assigned by the Administrator.
Expertise in MS Office applications and filing/archiving is a must. Experience with Munisoft software is considered an asset. Proficiency in computers and knowledge of local governance issues are important. A friendly, courteous, professional demeanor and accountability are essential. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are key requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a diploma or certificate in Business/Office Education and/or have related experience.
