Public Notice

Please be advised that the RM of Lajord No. 128 has received a discretionary use application for 
the construction and operation of a 105 Mega-Watts Alternating Current (MWac) ground-mounted 
photovoltaic facility (the Solar Facility). The Solar Facility is to be located within Section 
08-15-18 W2M, approximately 25 kilometres southeast of the City of Regina. The facility will 
generate electricity under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with SaskPower and is to include solar 
modules, racking, and associated equipment and infrastructure.

According to the RM of Lajord No. 128 Zoning Bylaw No. 2022-13, Solar Generation Facilities are a 
discretionary use within the Agricultural District – A.

Any comments or concerns regarding the proposed development shall be forwarded in writing to the RM 
of Lajord No. 128 Municipal Office or to info@rmlajord.ca by 5:00 PM on July 10, 2026.

The discretionary use application, along with any comments received, will be considered by the 
Council during the public hearing scheduled for July 14, 2026, at 10:15 AM. Once Council has 
considered the application and relevant information, it may:
a) reject the application by issuing a notice of refusal;
b) approve the discretionary use in accordance with the provisions of the zoning bylaw; or
c) approve the discretionary use subject to development standards or conditions in accordance with 
the Zoning Bylaw.
